<description>Sunday April 15th was a night to remember for metal fans in Denver, CO.
Just hearing the name of the headlining act, Sepultura, was enough to make you want to grab your favorite band tshirt and get ready for the mosh pit that most definitely lay ahead. Unbelieveably, it gets even better than that. Not only were we going to get one of the best and most loved old school metal acts known to man, we were getting one of the newest and most talented bands rising on the metal scene, Havok.

Havok was the first band to take the stage, and did so with an explosion of sound. A perfect combination of raw metal with gripping lyrics and vocals, these guys take it to the next level which justifies their ever expanding growth and fanbase. I was impressed and blown away by the talent spewing at me from the stage, and could not help but compare their performance to the many Slayer shows I have seen. And that says a fucking lot. I bought a cd and a patch to give my support to Havok, and I feel lucky to say I had the pleasure of watching a band I believe will be the headliner of many shows to come in the near future. HAVOK- Fuck Yes.

Next in line to perform was Krisiun, I am really very sorry to say I only got to see them play 2 songs, as I was busy with a video interview with Havok right after their set was over. What I did hear from Krisiun was gritty death death DEATH METAL (can you say hell yeah?), and I plan on seeing their next performance because I think I missed something definitely worth watching.

Death Angel, oh my. I am trying to find words to describe the whirlwind of energy and insanity that is Death Angel. I was absolutely astounded and spellbound by the smart lyrics and intense instrumentals these guys threw down. The stage presence of front man Mark Osegueda could be called not just captivating, but very influential. It was obvious to me that these guys are experienced and seasoned professionals in the metal business, and damn they make business look good. The messages in the song lyrics were strong enough to make me believe in every word that was eloquently screamed at me, and I ask with no hesitation, Mark, are you starting a revolution- and where do I sign up to follow? Death Angel, oh my.

SEPULTURA. Who doesn&apos;t know Sepultura? Nobody. Because they are one of the most talented and heavy bands to ever live. Ever. I get goosebumps still, every fucking time I go to a Sepultura show. Front man Derrick Green never runs dry when it comes to energy and powerful performances onstage, as he is a monster in both vocals and stamina. The whole band is obviously tight knit in that they are all perfectionists in their art, bringing together an amazing and explosive show for the fans every time they tour, every stop they make. Fans of Sepultura know this is what they will get every time they purchase a ticket and this is why we keep coming back for more.
